Easy flo solder No217 May 2008 09:12 GMT1
Just wondering if anyone knows of a cheap(ish) source of easyflo No2?
I think Chronos are about £2.50 a stick.

Grinding chuck jaws16 May 2008 21:21 GMT10
Towards the bottom of this page
http://homemetalshopclub.org/news/aug04/aug04.html is an article on grinding
chuch jaws. The method seems to make some sort of sense.
I have a Toledo TCT 15 Combimachine grinder (struggling to find any decent

Currently building a Tamiya FW 190D.   MDC resin cockpit, cowling, airscrew
and undercarriage bay.  Eduard PE flaps. Eagle Cal decals.

It even has the open blown canopy robbed from an Eduard kit.
Post Office Box Rule16 May 2008 03:30 GMT60
I've been reusing these boxes for years, except that I always wrap in
brown paper.  they are the perfect size for models.
Oh my, have I been breaking a rule?

Harrison M300 Taper Turner15 May 2008 21:54 GMT7
I recently obtained a pukka taper turning attachment for my M300.  It
looks as good as new and came complete with the bed clamp and tie bar.
These parts are often missing from previous offerings I’ve seen (usually
on eBay).
Old Hydrovane15 May 2008 18:32 GMT3
I am currently stripping and re-building an old 50psi three legged pot
type Hydrovane compressor. I say old as it was manufactured by "Alfred
Bullows" so goes back a bit.
Two queries for anyone that knows or may guess.
F-Resin - anyone had any dealings?15 May 2008 15:20 GMT2
Thinking about buying a few of their resin airyplaneses - anyone bought
anything from them? How's the service, the quality of the product etc? I
already know that they're not cheap... but they DO look good in the
pictures.
Wanted: empty or dried out model paint bottles15 May 2008 13:43 GMT2
I'm looking for any empty 1/2 oz or 1/3 oz. glass model paint bottles. It
doesn't matter if the bottle is empty or contains old dried out paint, as
long as it is glass ( not plastic ) and the lid still fits tightly. If
anyone has 5 or more lying around to get rid of or sell, let ...
? publishers "Model Engineers Workshop"14 May 2008 23:11 GMT4
Goedendag ;-)
I'm trying to find the publishers (and their site) of the "Model Engineers
Workshop" magazine. It seems they had a nice article on making larger
outrunner motors in the February issue. Would be of interest to 'my' group:
Kirishima battleship class?14 May 2008 23:10 GMT2
I want to order a PE detail set for my Kirishima kit, but the sets are
by class rather than individual ship. I believe I heard somewhere the
Kirishima was a Konga class. Is that right?
Following on from 'Rust  in Workshop'14 May 2008 21:56 GMT28
Thanks for all the replies about rust in my workshop. I'll have a good think
of what next to do to rid the rust.
No-one  picked up upon the question about how I can get rid of the rust on
the bed of the milling machine.  Although I sprayed the machine vey well
Anyone going near Newark, Notts?13 May 2008 20:09 GMT5
I've got an ebay item of some bearing pullers (item 200222070804) to
collect from Newark, anyone likely to be going that way during the
next few weeks who could possibly start them on their journey
westwards? Pretty please? <g>
Servo motors13 May 2008 12:37 GMT16
Can anybody give me some links to possible sources for servo motors suitable
for use with smaller CNC machines. Apart from the 'refer to sales office'
links the best I've come up with so far is a site offering motors at £1200 up
to £3500. Somehow that seems a little excessive ...
knock knock13 May 2008 11:27 GMT8
Sorry folks just a test.   Virgin media have forced me to change from
the old ntl news server.   Since I've not seen a single message in here!
Or perhaps the whole group is pissed at Harrogate.
