Circuit breaker problem26 Jun 2008 16:05 GMT1
A mate of mine has a three phase supply in his works, one of the single
phase breakers is getting slightly warm and tripping randomly. It's not a
DIN rail mount, the breakers have clips at each end, one on to a locating
rail and the other to the busbar. Seems to be an obsolete ...
Seeking pith helmet info.26 Jun 2008 04:06 GMT1
A few weeks ago there was a post - I'm pretty sure it was on this
group - which had a link to a military equipment supplier.  I have no
idea of the name of the company.
Since then, I've experienced some real problems with this damned
Now would be a good time to buy Steel25 Jun 2008 23:49 GMT10
Just heard that RT (Rio Tinto) have put the price of Iron Ore up by
85% today.
Reading the news items related to this, it seems that steel prices for
August delivery will now go up anywhere between 25% - 40%.

De-Chroming24 Jun 2008 22:05 GMT11
Can anyone please tell me the best way to de-Chrome plastic parts, I
have been told that brake fluid is good, but needs to be handled with
care in case it eats the plastic. Any hints and tips would be
gratefully received.
Techumse engine carb24 Jun 2008 10:56 GMT10
I know this is slightly off topic as the engine's in a mower but I
recently bought an ex demo Bolens lawn tractor. It looked imaculate, I
suspect it had never cut any grass. Anyway, it came off eBay for about
1/2 price and worked well so I was happy. It has a 13HP Techumse

I'm previously a user of Humbrol enamels and am looking to try out

up and quick drying times ...but need to know are their any drawbacks which
may bite me in the a.s?
Do-X plans23 Jun 2008 14:06 GMT2
Where can I get inexpensive to free (prefer free) drawings of the Do-
X?   Mostly interested in the hull form.  I have a drawing that
provides six frames, but I'd like to have more than just those.
Formal lines drawings of the entire hull would be nice, too.

Cant see any recent posts?22 Jun 2008 18:01 GMT17
For some odd reason I cant see any of the recent posts I sent, or replies
about a Heidenhain TNC controller? Must be something to do with IE7 I guess?
They must be somewhere, as a reply from Mark (thank you) was found after a

Test only-do not respond22 Jun 2008 17:29 GMT1
My old Bridgeport MDI is controlled by a Heidenhain TNC145, last week we
lost the picture on the monitor, so to cut a long story short, it was
established that the problem is the TNC. I have a spare TNC145 controller,
which came with a Bridgeport series 1 interact. I have fitted ...
Three phase plugs and sockets for 240v22 Jun 2008 12:24 GMT12
Since some recent posts have appeared on three phase issues, can
anyone help with recommendations for (correct) plugs and sockets for
240v three phase?
I'm sure everyone's familiar with the red four pin stuff on 415v
Teco Invertor22 Jun 2008 10:34 GMT15
Anyone here used these invertors,in particular the 7200MA version. From
what I can gather the agents are telling a friend of mine that it can
be stuck on a wall and used as a universal three phase supply to power
different machines. My understanding of the manual doesn`t agree with
How to model these tricky column tops ?22 Jun 2008 10:15 GMT11
Hope the links here work as mere description is not enough - I would
like to reproduce at small scale four of these column transition
pieces, each with both corner and centre 'petals' as well as metal
angular fillets between, and the Victorians really have me beaten.
