How do you..... "roll" an edge on tinplate like that seen on old tobacco
tins so that you have a nice smooth edge? Is there a simple machine that can
be used/made in the home workshop?  I only want to go in a straight
line/single edge.

Well, I followed the advice offered here and got some watch cement from
Micromark.
After gluing in a few windows in my Trumpeter C-47, it was quickly obvious
that the stuff is the same as good old Testor's tube glue, nothing different
