| Problems with DHL | 31 Dec 2008 13:31 GMT | 9 |

| Trouble re-glueing wing | 31 Dec 2008 04:59 GMT | 7 |
I have a 1/48 Hawker Typhoon that was damaged, in spite of my best efforts, by movers, such that the right wing won't stay in place. I had it already built and painted and, while I make no claims to be a great model painter (I'd never try ejection handles and such as I've seen

Having recently aquired a 6" optical flat I thought it would be interesting to checkout the granite placemats and chopping boards now stocked by the supermarkets. These are 15 to 20mm thick and small enough and light enough to be kept in a drawer when not in

And I ask myself, "Why didn't the article on the Su-27P explain WHY it was necessary to kitbash two kits to get the 'P'?" I feel a little dull because I've always had an interest in Soviet aircraft and I can't recall what it is that makes a 'P' different. The designation suggests

| Plastic model shows American Swastika that predated German Socialist swastika use. | 26 Dec 2008 18:33 GMT | 5 |
New discoveries show that American soldiers used the swastika as their symbol early in World War I, and up to 1941, against Germany. The symbol was used by Americans in the French Escadrille Lafayette, by the 45th Infantry Divison, on Boeing P-12 planes.

| Parting with the rear tool post | 26 Dec 2008 18:04 GMT | 22 |
I vaguely recall arguments that parting off from the rear tool post with the tool upside down is beneficial, but for the life of me I don't remember why. Naturally the swarf can escape the cut easier but I am sure there was another reason. Can anybody enlighten me please?
