Where to get brass hex or rod?07 Feb 2009 01:13 GMT14
I'm going to need to get hold of some brass hex or rod (probably about
35mm diam or A/F) and a total length of 1.5-2 metres. I'll also need
some 6mm MS U-section, about 70 wide and 20 deep.
Any suggestions for where to buy it and how much it should cost? (I'll
WTB:  Otaki 1/600 Musashi kit06 Feb 2009 19:22 GMT1
Looking for the Otaki 1/600 Musashi kit.  I am only interested in a
1970's-or-so vintage issue of the kit, not the later re-issue by
Arii.  Please email me if you've got one to sell.  THX.

Pinging Charles or John S05 Feb 2009 20:57 GMT16
Gents, I've not been able to access the homeworkshop.org.uk site either
last night or this morning. Is there a known problem?
Maybe the cold weather?? Maybe my ISP (ntlworld) but I think that is the
same as yours John.
Eduard masks?05 Feb 2009 19:06 GMT2
Eduard makes some fine etched products. However, I tried their 1/32 masks on
the Trumpeter F4, and the masks weren't even close! Too wide in spots, too
narrow in others, too short or long as well. Have others seen the same
problems?
New Airtime Publishing Web Site05 Feb 2009 01:25 GMT1
Not long ago, I emailed Airtime about their sorely out of date web
site. It looks like they are coming up with a totally new web site.
It's not all there yet. They do mention that volume 25 is the latest
issue of International Air Power Review. I haven't seen it announced
Hasegawa 72nd E-2C04 Feb 2009 06:18 GMT4
Mine just arrived, and it looks to be an excellent kit.  One question...
what is the circular device in the belly, just aft of the cooling unit?
I've seen it on the real planes, but never discovered what it was.

New Contest Themes - Seeking Suggestions03 Feb 2009 23:16 GMT7
Like most contests I've been to, our local contest has always had a
theme. In the past we have used anniversaries of events, countries,
colors, and we even had a Halloween/monster theme.  The best themes seem
to transcend the majority of model genres and bring out the most
Does this exsist?03 Feb 2009 18:08 GMT18
Looking for some kind of 'feeler-gauge' that can identify a specific
gearwheel.
What I need to identify is the size of the teeths.
As far as I can remember I have seen a tool like those on this page:
Me 262 Mistel display03 Feb 2009 13:24 GMT6
I'm about to build the 1/48 Me 262 Mistel released by Dragon:
http://www.capehobby.com/images/product/item_m_DML-5541.jpg
and I'm not sure how to display it. The kit detail is good so I like the
idea of leaving some panels like weapons and landing gear open -maybe a jet
Anyone have horse drawn  Breda kit?03 Feb 2009 01:02 GMT17

The Lightning Pilot's Ten Commandments02 Feb 2009 23:00 GMT2

The Status of Kopro?02 Feb 2009 21:48 GMT1
I was doing some casual research today and noticed that my material on
Kopro was out of date, so I tried to look up their website.  Finally found
it on the domain of www.kp-kopro.cz -- but there is much less on it than in
past years, and the English language side of the site is a ...
