I'm still building the Dragon 1/48 Me 262 Mistel and I found out yesterday

supports: 1 under the nose, 2 under the wing root and 2 outside of the
engines. Since the holes I had to drill were accurately ...

Bearing run-in06 Apr 2009 20:54 GMT8
Got a new home-made bronze bush with a steel shaft in it,
well-lubricated, but it's running hot (made two actually, one is peachy,

The shaft has slight wear markings over about half it's circumference.

TSR-2: Gloss or satin finish?05 Apr 2009 21:16 GMT5
Finally got around to building one of my 1/72 Airfix TSR-2s.  This one
is "from the box" and in prototype white (next one will be a what-if
wrap around scheme like the Vulcans ended up in).
Currently decalling it so it's glossy, but should the final coat be

Recommendations for metal primers that retain fine detail05 Apr 2009 16:56 GMT5
Soliciting suggestions for a metal primer that will not obscure fine details i.e., is very
low build, for use on white metal castings.
Will be over coated with lacquer and enamel - although not both at the same time.
Tried a rattle can of Krylon gray - applied lightly (so I thought) ...
Painting over chrome?05 Apr 2009 16:53 GMT3
Greetings. I've a Tamiya 1/48 F-84 that I bought awhile back, not
realizing that it's the chrome-plated version. How should I approach
priming/painting this thing? I use strictly acrylics; can't use
anything else. Thanks very much.
