Female metric spline sleeve27 Jul 2009 20:16 GMT4
I need a female spline sleeve to repair my flail mower - the female
spline has a major diameter of 20mm and has 24 splines about 30mm
long.
Amazingly the male splined shaft that mates with this is untouched -
British Matilda - Used throughout the war?27 Jul 2009 16:26 GMT15
wondering if it would be "proper" to use the Matilda in late war
diorama settings in Europe.
thx - Craig
any chance of a Matilda vs. King Tiger encounter?   :-)

Bridgeport Interact speed control valve26 Jul 2009 17:45 GMT3
Has anyone ever had dealings with the re sealing of the valve that controls
the brake and speed control of an interact?
I need to know if the repair kit I was quoted £44 for is the going rate, or
if standard 'O' rings will do the job. The Valve is a Univer 1001.
Venom and Jet Provost26 Jul 2009 16:43 GMT1
A Venom and a Jet Provost just flew over my house! To say I was astonished
would be an understatement.
They have probably been at the Lowestoft Air Festival. They were headed in
the general direction of RAF Marham, so I wonder if they will stay there
SMER Kits26 Jul 2009 16:26 GMT8
I have seen a lot of comments on the web that SMER kits are low tech
and poor quality. IMHO this is an over reaction.
Almost finished a SMER Avia BH-11 and it is an easy kit to work with.
Some small fiddly parts and very soft plastic are the only drawbacks

Poly-V 10-Groove L section Pulley26 Jul 2009 08:26 GMT24
Does anyone know of a UK supplier that would carry the Poly-V pulleys in the 'L'
size of belts (4.70mm groove pitch) ?
I'm looking for a 190mm diameter 10-Groove pulley with 50mm Taper-Lock (which
can be bought separately) That's about 7.5" X 2.25" wide in old money.
Speaking of cop cars...25 Jul 2009 11:42 GMT1

Is this a stock 1949 Police Car Kit?25 Jul 2009 07:24 GMT7
interested in early police cars. Not sure by this box art if that is a
chrome exhaust pipe on the side.
Would like to build regular 1930-50's police car kits.  Are they out
there?
DC motor as tidal turbine model generator24 Jul 2009 19:56 GMT10
I am currently working on a tidal turbine model, and need to have
enough electricity generated to power a few LED's.
I presume to get about 10rpm in the hydraulics lab, and need a few
watts to power the LED's. I was wondering, as small DC motors are
Nascar Decal Sheets -  A 1/35 racing car ?24 Jul 2009 06:13 GMT5
anyone know of Nascar decal sheets, full of sponsor logos, etc.
and anyone know of a race car kit (Indy, Funny, etc)  that might be
close enough in scale to a 1/35 tank?  With a driver too.
feel like doing a silly fantasy diorama...
God have mercy on my soul......22 Jul 2009 22:25 GMT4
In honor of this being the 40th anniversary of the moon landing (or
filming in the Nevada desert - whatever! 8-P) I broke down on ePay and
bought a Bird Models Dornberger Orbital spacecraft (a precursor to his
Project BOMI while he lived here in western New York). The kit looks
