I'm trying to remove 8mm BMS axles from some aluminium parts and so far the only method which has yielded results is heating the aluminium parts with a butane torch for ten to fifteen seconds before attempting to remove the axle.

I have a ML7R which is essentially a standard ML7 fitted with a super7 headstock and tailstock introduced by Myford in the late 70s. I'm becoming ever more frustrated by the limited range of angles that the topslide can be rotated (+/- 45 degrees). I am considering imitating

I don't know if this is old news or not but... It appears this movie has been remastered and released on Region 1 DVD. I saw part of this movie 25 or 30 years ago (probably more) and have been searching for it ever since. The only thing I ever found was VHS or DVD in UK

Managed to get myself a good cond bevel protractor ,on recieveing it i have realised that the bevel lock does not function rendering the instrument pretty useless ,anyone have any experience of seperating one of these tools and repairing ???Dont want to force anything .......
