I told my dad I'd track down some rivets for his current restoration
project.  I'm in bother a) because I haven't and b) because I forgot all
about it.
He's after some steel rivets which are countersunk head in steel, 3/4

At a recent club meeting the subject was tools, and folks brought in
their best or favorites. One guy bought in some neat clamps he paid 8
bucks apiece for.  Someone said the local Harbor Freights had a very
similar clamp for a buck each.

I need to turn a perspex disk about 50mm dia. as a replacement speedo
glass on an old Yamaha. What can I use to stick in to a piece of wood
mounted in my lathe chuck?

Newbie to modelling...
Anyway just fisnihing my first airliner (B747-200) and basically, I painted
the fuselage gloss white first, 3 coats acrylic Tamiya Gloss white then left
overnight to dry. masked off the entire fuselage then got to work on the

Given the need to get the fuel/air mix into the cylinder,  why do most
designs have the carburettor venturii facing away from the direction of
travel (aero engine) so the intake is in low pressure air?  Seems obvious to
a beginner that you would want the carburettor intake facing ...
