Amadeal AMA25LV Milling machine30 Nov 2009 12:18 GMT2
I'm thinking about purchasing one of these and in the advert it refers
to David White's review of it in Model Engineers Workshop, Dec 2008.
Unfortunately as I have only returned to machining in this last year, I
do not have that particular journal.

Rigging Planes with Sections of Wire - Works ?29 Nov 2009 19:48 GMT8
Since I seem to have developed a habit of starting a kit and never
finishing it, I thought I might as well start this habit on my
collection of WWI aircraft. If I have to have bits of thread all over
the place, it just is not gonna happen.  If I can build and paint
cutters29 Nov 2009 17:58 GMT4
Micro-Mark is selling a cutter they call Chop-it. It looks a lot like
the Chopper III, which I own. It doesn't cut very square in two planes.
Does anybody know if this Chop-it is any better? It looks a lot like the
Chopper, so I'm suspecting the same shortcomings. I'm working on ...
Bevel Gears + Hunting Tooth29 Nov 2009 15:34 GMT3
I understand it's bad practice to have the ratios between pinions set such
as the same teeth always mesh - is this true for bevel gears?  I'm going to
cut a couple of bevel gears using the parallel depth method and a pair with
15 teeth, 40DP each would be best,  but 15 teeth and ...
Master Box = WW2 GI's w Civilians & Farm Wagon & Nun29 Nov 2009 12:01 GMT2
In the In-Progress section of the master Box web site they show a
really neat WW2 figure set with US GI's and civilians. There are 3
GI's and three civilians. One figure is a nun driving a wagon, another
is a girl being carried by a GI and a third is a woman being helped
Centurion-Sh'ot Space armor question29 Nov 2009 00:33 GMT1
I picked up a resin conversion set 1:35 Legend IDF Centurion 1982
Conversion Set (TAM/ACA kits) #1065 at a swap meet.  Its the first
time I am working on a resin kit and I am surprised at myself that its
not as formidable as I had feared.  It also helps that I have a garage
Pallet Truck repair28 Nov 2009 15:08 GMT1
OK not model engineering, but frequenters of this newsgroup have loads
of experience !
I have a Lancer Boss 2000Kg pallet truck that has just developed a
fault. It pumps up but then sinks back to ground! Presumably either a

Mill radius jig.25 Nov 2009 18:27 GMT4
I don't have a rotary table at my disposal so I'm looking for some ideas
for building a radius jig to machine radii on the ends of flat bar .
I have a few ideas in my head as follows ,,,
It would be a rotating affair with a base that can be held in the
Round Connector25 Nov 2009 11:17 GMT18
Suggestions time.
I'm after a metal bodied round connector to handle 12 volts. Needs to
be 4-6 poles and ideally have a panel mounted socket with the flying
lead mounted plug having a screwed ring to fix the connection.
