Locating pin steel?28 Feb 2010 12:36 GMT13
I'm upgrading my BCA mill (again) and there are a few locating pins
missing. The pins are used to ensure that the bits align accurately when
assembled.
The pins are 0.1875 (+/- 0.0001) inches, or accurately 3/16, diameter.
Sheet metal folder plans28 Feb 2010 09:32 GMT14
I could do with a small sheet metal folder as since leaving work I've
lost the ability to pop into their workshop and use one from time to

1/48 F9F - Monogram vs. Hobbycraft ?27 Feb 2010 07:06 GMT4
Getting ready to build a 1/48 Panther for a friend and I want the best
kit possible.  I have the old Monogram kit w/ raised panel lines,
etc., but the Hobbycraft kit has recessed panel lines.  I'm OK with
the raised lines as long as the Monogram kit is accurate, etc.

I have had mixed success with my winnowing machine and I want to do
better next year.
The machine, as described below, throws up and out about half of the
alder seeds, and lets fall through for collection the other half,
1930-40's truck models ?26 Feb 2010 05:53 GMT3
I've always liked the streamlined art deco look of the period for
vehicles. Have only seen die cast so far.

wall the box art  has a wall panel with a double barn door, a wall
with a regular house  door and a wall with a window.  I have cut these

Monogram Bulldog Mack Truck - Anyone build it?22 Feb 2010 21:43 GMT11
looks like a fun kit. I never build cars as they can't have any flaws
to look good. with a truck like this I can beat it up all I want.
As a WWI truck, was OD the standard finish back then?  Never built any
WWI era vehicles before.

I have a copy of John Stevensons "Moving a Bridgeport.txt".
Does anyone know how stripping a Beaver for a move varies from
