I can never resist taking apart Dollar Store gadgets to see what's
inside, what makes them work and can I use the parts for my models.
This time round it is a $2  9Vdc motorized paper stapler.  I don't
have a clue how the stapler works as I couldn't get it to fire the

Living here in the RoK and getting into a lot of the
history of the 1950-53 war.  Red the book "Crimson
Tide" about the air war in Korea.  One of the stories

this seems like a fairy tale, did they really pluck a plne out of the air and
then re launch it from an lst? with nylon rope? birdogs were pretty light and
slow, but, damnnnnnn!

I was watching the movie Air Force on TCM (a good film) and saw some
airplanes that looked like P-47's but turned out to be P-43 Lancer's. I
don't recall a model kit ever being made of this airplane?

If I am going to build one dragster, got any recommendations? I've
searched a bit and found they are mostly Revell kits. Pretty much all

It's been a while since I've seen any discussion of Birds of NeverWas
or the various other names for bashing a model fo "what really was"
into "what might have been", or whatever we want to call it.

So to fire the weapons on the Ontos, you had to get out each time and
reload? Sounds like a nice job if you are taking incoming.
I see the box art shows a nice flaming explosion next to the guy
standing outside with a shell in his hand.
