I'm just starting to plan the cnc conversion of my mill (Myford VMC) I made some static measurements on the torque needed to move the X axis feedscrew and this comes out to about 1.25NM (or 176 oz-in). It seems that motors are specified by their holding current on the data

Can anyone point me to an illustration of a MEC BROWN cut off saw fitted with the left hand bar support. It's missing on mine, there just being the lug that it mounts on. It would be nice to copy the original design rather than re-invent the wheel.

Just got my new F-14 from hobby surplus. Its a 1:1 scale. Got a few dings and scratches, lots of parts to put together. Will take a while. Was in the scratch and dent section. But for $29999.99 was a steal. Problem is, I got two different tails. Does anybody have any good

A mate of mine has asked me to take a look at a manual bridgeport mill (I don't know which model) because neither the X or Y feed motors seem to be working. I'm guessing that it is unlikely that both motors will have packed up and it is possibly a supply problem. Spindle motor ...
