Pulling a nail from a spare piece of wood. Despite your vice-like grip,
the pliers slip off, your elbow travels back at high speed and bruises
into the bench vice. You drop the piece of wood which lands on your
favourite scribing tool***** which just happened to be half on and half ...
Time frame when you can use CA debonder ?07 Jun 2010 09:13 GMT3
It's been a year or so since I sealed up the front part of the big
B-36 before I put the innards inside. Needed to glue the wing spar and
CA, as invisible as it is, sealed things up.
Is it too late to use the debonder to hopefully get the fuselage parts
Any motor and clutch experts in the group?07 Jun 2010 05:41 GMT2
Evening all, nice out, isn't it?
I'm hoping to pick some brains, I recently acquired an ancient and abused
[1] Challenger lathe, mainly for the tooling and motor that came with it,
and I think I'd like to get it running to get back in the hang of machining
Mass production canopy masking/painting - What's their trick?05 Jun 2010 22:55 GMT3
I get catalogs and emails selling 1/18, etc airplanes with perfectly
painted canopies. bought a lot of them too.
I assume these planes are built on the assembly line. I guess they

Maho Overarm - 90mm Diameter Tube05 Jun 2010 08:57 GMT5
I've decided that I'm going to have to make the horizontal overam for

it shouldn't be too hard to make since the main component is a 90mm
diameter steel bar. Using solid steel bar would be rather wateful (and

Vulcan, Anything besides Airfix ?03 Jun 2010 22:05 GMT11
Just watched Thunderball and it got me interested in the kit again.
Tossed my Airfix kit away years ago.  Just way, way too much putty
work needed on that one, and I suck at putty application.
so, has anyone else made a kit of this gorgeous aircraft?

PCB Milling from Gerber files02 Jun 2010 22:53 GMT20
Has anyone experience milling prototype PCBs using gerber files as input.
I'm turning a working prototype breadboard into actual pcb (as oposed to a
lash up!) and would like to try milling it on my small cnc mill (ironically
the board is the mill controller!)
Horse Painting Tips ?02 Jun 2010 03:03 GMT3
With the Confederate Raider and Zorro coming soon I was wondering if
anyone has seen a tutorial, etc on how to paint horses so they don't
look like plastic horses.
