At the bow edge of  a USN aircraft carrier flight deck are two
"planks" sticking out.  They are in alignment with the aircraft
catapults.  What are they called and what are they for?

Is this a special German unit I have not heard of?

Anyone know what size of tapping drill I would need for the above thread
(it's pretty non-standard, and not in my tables), and where to get one?

Open the box and you get a lot of flat plaster pieces, some broken in
shipping.  All you have is the one angle box art to deal with.
I have a bridge kit with about 8 pieces that I just can't figure out
where they are supposed to go. Given their prices a simple drawing

Actually, a replica, not a model, as I have a Revell kit which I don';t want to
have to build. I'm looking for a decent carved wood or resin model of a Gemini
space capsule. I've found a couple through Google, but they're either too small
for my taste or one looks like the capsule ...

Was the CAC Wirraway ever made in 1/72 scale?
Also was the Wirraway with it's (twin cowl mounted machine guns) used in
the TV series Baa Baa Black Sheep modified as a Zero?

I recently bought a nice Murad lathe.  The machine arrived in one
piece
and is currently sitting in my garage.
I'm not sure how I'm going to get it onto my work bench!

I am thinking of doing a 1/72 scale dio invovling PanzerGrenaders in the
assault. A combination of 251s and Stugs, Jagds or gun tanks. I realize it
will be somewhat compressed (I've already done the math of a 100 yard front in
1/72).

Vain hopoe but anyone any idea where I might source a quill return
spring for a Richmond SR2 radial arm drill. Suspect that I'll have to
modify something like a Bridgeport one, unless you know differently
........!

Back in the early '70s, I got a model of an Army Jeep & it was 1/24
scale. It was motorized. IIRC, it had rubber tires & also had a
trailer. The batteries mounted in the trailer under a 'tarp'. I know
it was a Japanese kit, maybe Bandai, but off & on over the years I've

need for a diorama of a downed pilot hiding on a farm.  Anyone know of
anything in resin or styrene? He's gonna be hiding in a hay stack so
only his torso will show.
