Those of you who have been following the progress of my layout construction

Just curious when the manufacturers are going to start offering
weathering in addition to painted models. That would be neat to see
nice weathering on a RTR model wouldn't it assuming it was done well.
I wonder if you can pad print realisitc rust blotches. My prediction

Is it ok to sell brass on this group? Need to sell a couple engine/caboose
sets.

I've been enjoying myself building HO wagons from the illustrations and
drawings in the book "The LMS Wagon" by Essery and Morgan.
I'd like to build a few more from other railways and particularly from
the L&Y.

How tall is the station over roof? By that I mean the highest point on the
model, not the space underneath.

Does anyone think Lifelike's new page was worth the wait; I don't see much
improvement.

Am I right in thinking that there is no self-contained motor-bogie for
6-wheel bogies???

I have been given an Airfix Black Prairie tank engine. The model has
good slow and fast control, but it makes a lot of noise when it runs.
Were these Airfix Prairie engines always this noisy??? My Airfix 4F is
very quiet.

I've been trying to buy this book for ages. Tried the usual second hand
suppliers (Nick Tozer, Martin Bott etc), but no luck. It's listed by Amazon
and WHSmith as "available to order", but it turns out that it's
"Reprinting - no date" which in publishing circles is basically

There are reports on some UK newsgroups and mailing lists that Lima has
gone into receivership. Haven't seen any details yet as nobody speaks
enough Italian to translate the media release. Anybody else heard anything?

As subject, anyone know the absolute height of the mouldings from baseline
to the very top.
Inches preferred but French measurements will do at a pinch :-)
