Those of you who have been following the progress of my layout construction

What about painted AND weathered RTR?01 Aug 2003 00:45 GMT11
Just curious when the manufacturers are going to start offering
weathering in addition to painted models. That would be neat to see
nice weathering on a RTR model wouldn't it assuming it was done well.
I wonder if you can pad print realisitc rust blotches. My prediction
Selling? 31 Jul 2003 23:43 GMT2
Is it ok to sell brass on this group? Need to sell a couple engine/caboose
sets.
Wagon books?31 Jul 2003 18:10 GMT4
I've been enjoying myself building HO wagons from the illustrations and
drawings in the book "The LMS Wagon" by Essery and Morgan.
I'd like to build a few more from other railways and particularly from
the L&Y.
Question on Hornby stations31 Jul 2003 17:21 GMT2
How tall is the station over roof? By that I mean the highest point on the
model, not the space underneath.
Lifelike's new web page 31 Jul 2003 15:26 GMT11
Does anyone think Lifelike's new page was worth the wait; I don't see much
improvement.

Noisy Prairie Engine31 Jul 2003 12:52 GMT1
I have been given an Airfix Black Prairie tank engine. The model has
good slow and fast control, but it makes a lot of noise when it runs.
Were these Airfix Prairie engines always this noisy??? My Airfix 4F is
very quiet.
An Historical Survey of LMS Stations vol 231 Jul 2003 12:00 GMT1
I've been trying to buy this book for ages. Tried the usual second hand
suppliers (Nick Tozer, Martin Bott etc), but no luck. It's listed by Amazon
and WHSmith as "available to order", but it turns out that it's
"Reprinting - no date" which in publishing circles is basically
Lima gone bust?31 Jul 2003 07:41 GMT47
There are reports on some UK newsgroups and mailing lists that Lima has
gone into receivership. Haven't seen any details yet as nobody speaks
enough Italian to translate the media release. Anybody else heard anything?
Cheers
Finally got to Strasburg Rail Road...30 Jul 2003 23:43 GMT2
If your ever in the Lancaster PA area, it's definitely worth the trip :)
4mm Peco tunnel mouths30 Jul 2003 18:23 GMT2
As subject, anyone know the absolute height of the mouldings from baseline
to the very top.
Inches preferred but French measurements will do at a pinch :-)

Tichy 40 foot flatcar painting instructions30 Jul 2003 08:07 GMT3
Looking at the archives of rec.models.railroad at http://groups.google.com/,
I've seen references the to painting instructions that came with the Tichy 40
foot flatcar which described a method of painting flatcar decks to simulate
wood.
