Just curious when the manufacturers are going to start offering weathering in addition to painted models. That would be neat to see nice weathering on a RTR model wouldn't it assuming it was done well. I wonder if you can pad print realisitc rust blotches. My prediction

I've been enjoying myself building HO wagons from the illustrations and drawings in the book "The LMS Wagon" by Essery and Morgan. I'd like to build a few more from other railways and particularly from the L&Y.

I have been given an Airfix Black Prairie tank engine. The model has good slow and fast control, but it makes a lot of noise when it runs. Were these Airfix Prairie engines always this noisy??? My Airfix 4F is very quiet.

There are reports on some UK newsgroups and mailing lists that Lima has gone into receivership. Haven't seen any details yet as nobody speaks enough Italian to translate the media release. Anybody else heard anything? Cheers
