Cotton Belt-Help Needed from Cotton Belt Fan18 Oct 2003 05:02 GMT3
I just bought Accurail HO kit number 5704 which is a 50' welded
panel AAR boxcar with a single 8' yellow sliding door .  However, it is
numbered SSW 61030.  It appears that SSW 61000-61142 is part of the
B-70-32 class which are hi cubes with 10'6" doors.  I was wondering just
Will my midget power pack run 4 locos?18 Oct 2003 04:31 GMT2
I have a Railpower 1300 power pack for my n scale layout.  It says "Total
Output 7VA"  When I run both locos it seems to do OK.  I want to get 2 more
and run 4 locos on one train.  Will it still have enough power for realistic
scale speeds?

available in the US and, if so, where? Thanks in advance!

Turntable Drive/Control mechanism17 Oct 2003 18:44 GMT13
I am considering building a turntable for my LGB trains, utilizing an
old (record) turntable as a rotating platform.  I plan on motorizing
the turntable usng a small DC motor, some gear reduction and a couple
of switches.
Southern Region Paxman 1100117 Oct 2003 14:28 GMT1
Does anyone know of a source providing detail of 11001, the Paxman-engined
diesel-mechanical shunter built to a Bullied design, but not delivered until
BR days? I have "BR Fleet Survey number 7 - Diesel Shunters" but would like
to know more. I've also seen the Paxman Home page
micro chips17 Oct 2003 11:47 GMT6
I was reading a book on the history of the microchip and a question
arose.  Did anyone ever put a transistor throttle (or most of one) on a
single chip?  Was the idea considered but rejected because of the high
current needed?
