The latest edition of the Bachmann Collectors Club magazine confirms that
forthcoming new steam locos will be LNER K3 2-6-0, LMS/BR Ivatt 4MT 2-6-0,
and GWR 68xx Grange 4-6-0. Two further new releases will be announced in
March 2004.
Extra weight22 Dec 2003 20:04 GMT29
Mornin all
I remember a while back, someone talking about lead beads or something, to
add to a locos weight, small enough to get into small places as well. Anyone
know where to get such a thing? Home Depot, RadioShack??
Bachmann LMS 4-6-0 chassis22 Dec 2003 19:42 GMT2
Always thought that the Bachmann LMS 4-6-0s shared a common chassis,
certainly the old Mainline chassis seemed common to all of them.
However Bachmann list two different chassis units - 35150 for the
Jubliees and Rebuilt Patriot (which some supplies also list as being
Passenger Car Interior Color22 Dec 2003 19:35 GMT8
I am painting a undecorated standard steel observation car grey over blue as
a privately own car. The car will have an interior install with no lights.
Any opinions on the interior color?  I am thinking of white to show the
interior.
MTH Turnout Problem22 Dec 2003 14:44 GMT2
I am having trouble with O27 locomotives derailing as they enter the curved
section (from the straight section) of an MTH 42" switch. The inside wheels
on the lead truck hit the gap in the frog and jump the track. It seems to
happen fairly consistently with both of my switches and a ...
IHC C&O yellow22 Dec 2003 13:24 GMT3
I just pulled some yellow paint off one of their "Pullmans" when I went to put
a new name on the car.  Any clue as to what yellow IHC used for their
streamlined C&O 72 foot cars?

Union Pacific Railroad--as SCROOGE.22 Dec 2003 09:02 GMT29
Very nice piece on CBS nightly news tonight about how Union Pacific is
ripping off railroaders with their licensing fees on manufacturers.  Hope
you all saw it.  In any event hope you all abandon modeling the UP or any of
it's heritage.
Security Fencing22 Dec 2003 08:09 GMT9
I'm installing some Ratio Security Fencing around some of my industries. The
posts are in place, the "barbed wire" has been strung, but how the hell do I
cut the "wire mesh" in a reasonably long straight line? For what it's worth,
the mess is a piece of tulle (I'm told), like what's ...

Shinohara turnout needed22 Dec 2003 02:13 GMT3
The Guelph Model Railroad Society Inc. (Guelph Ontario Canada) needs two
Shinohara #6 code 100 double slip switches. One will be used to replace a
bad order turnout in the yard, the other will be kept as a spare in case
this happens again. If anyone out there has some in stock, ...
Whingers and the Easily Pleased?22 Dec 2003 01:06 GMT12
There have been many messages discussing the relevant merits of new RTR
diesel locos, ranging from the "Rivet Counter" disappoinment to the "Easily
Pleased". I must admit falling somewhere in between the two stances.
There are many folk out there who would take a look at our layout ...

Rediscovered Lionels: Where do I start?21 Dec 2003 20:08 GMT9
I just rediscovered my Dad's old lionel set from around the 40's or
50's.  From the looks of things, they've seen *much* better days.  I
think there is one "complete" engine and a few other cars with various
parts laying around.  There are lots of track in various states of
glue advice21 Dec 2003 19:49 GMT7
Can anyone recommed a glue that will "take" on the sorts of 'slippery'
plastic that bogies tend to be made out of.. I have to lower the coupling on
an atlas bo-bo chassis. I also have taken opportunity to shorten the shank
on the coupling but superglue doesn't take on the plastic.
