| Lima acquired by Rivarossi | 21 Dec 2003 17:37 GMT | 3 |
Just noted on the Irish-gen list that Lima have been acquired by Rivarossi and the recently made available models of Irish Enterprise loco and Mk 2 NIR stock are labeled "LIMA-RIVAROSSI". I wonder if they are to make available any other of the long standing

| Spring Loaded Buffers - Help needed | 21 Dec 2003 14:49 GMT | 2 |
I've just received a Bachmann Class 37/4 train which has the spring loaded buffers - the previous owner has painted them grey and instead of just painting them black, i'd like to replace them with a fresh new set. Is there a simple way to remove them , is there a special technique ...

| DJH gearboxes | 21 Dec 2003 10:57 GMT | 5 |
I'm considering the DJH 2-6-0 Standard 4 (tender) ... rather surprised, though, at the price of their own gearbox & motor. £45.00 seems a lot for a 50:1 box plus Mashima 1224 motor. What do others think?

| Advice Needed | 21 Dec 2003 01:35 GMT | 2 |
I am contemplating buying a BMI sound steam locomotive. Other than the advertising claims, and MR's accolades (they always give them), I have not seen any real info on the quality of these models. Can anyone give me a owners' perspective on how they operate and sound?

| Wagon Axles | 20 Dec 2003 22:12 GMT | 4 |
I have a few Bachmann wagons which I have been running around behind my new Q1. One of the wagons has a non-concentric wheel so wobbles slightly as it goes along, not enough to derail the wagon but it is noticeable. Are Bachmann axles of a standard length, replaceable by something a ...

| What Cargo? | 20 Dec 2003 21:41 GMT | 5 |
I have a couple of old 36 foot flat cars with raised sides that come up roughly 3 or 4 scale feet and I'm wondering what sort of cargo they would have carried. It seems that the raised sides would make loading and unloading general cargo more difficult than on a truly flat flat car ...

| Mimic diagram | 20 Dec 2003 12:40 GMT | 2 |
I seem to remember in the distant past, that possibly Fleishman were supplying a signal control system where a basic diagram was supplied, and then user could add the track layout with point and signal controls in there positions on the map/diagram similar to a panelbox.

| Cleaning engine wheels - n-scale | 20 Dec 2003 04:09 GMT | 7 |
The wheels of a few of my engines seem like they need to be cleaned. What is the best way to do this? I remember helping my dad years ago and we used to hook up wires to the track and I would hold the wires to the wheels and he would clean with a pad and cleaner. Is there an ...

The guy at the hobby shop tonight supplied me with the second Stewart Baldwin AS-616 for a kitbash of a DT6-6-20 I'm building for him. I need to strip the paint off. What can I use besides commercial strippers to safely remove the paint without gutting the plastic? I know we've all ...
