Fruit Trains / Refrigerator Trains - separate waybills?18 Dec 2003 21:54 GMT5
Hey Folks,
Would a Pacific Fruit Express and/or a ATSF refrigerator train assume
individual waybills for each car, or would the entire consist be treated
as a multi-car block under one waybill?
IC Reefer Colors18 Dec 2003 21:42 GMT2
I picked up an old metal Athearn reefer (car # 50379) in the IC canary
yellow with green lettering and green roof scheme at a recent show.  I'm
starting to refurbish the car, and want to confirm the correct paint scheme:
1 - Are the ends the color of the sides, the roof, or ...

Plastic Wrap18 Dec 2003 21:08 GMT12
The other day, I read a thread here that mentioned that plastic wrap was a
no-no for storing plastic models.  I didn't see an explanation why.  Is it
bad for the plastic, or is there some other reason?

After about 35 years, I am getting back into the hobby.  But, I

HOn3 or HOn3018 Dec 2003 18:03 GMT3
I'm about to build my first micro layout and I'm trying to decide
between HOn3 or HOn30. I think I'm aware of the pros and cons of each
but I'd appreciate any advice or tips. My scratchbuilding skills are
pretty much limited to building wooden craftsman type
Fir trees for 4mm scale18 Dec 2003 17:13 GMT5
A small layout I'm building in 4mm scale needs some fir trees. As I don't
have the time to make my own this time round, I was looking at ready made
ones. I can see that Busch, Noch and Heki look like they make something
suitable in HO, but I wondered how realistic they were, or if ...
N-scale layout questions - NTG18 Dec 2003 15:59 GMT7
I have started a n-scale layout and I have a few questions:
1.  I want to put some roads on my board and I want to know what are some
recommended ways to construct the roads?  I really do not like the sticker
types.
Hornby Terrier and DCC18 Dec 2003 10:03 GMT5
Well its time to tackle the Terrier... I have in front of me a Z scale
decoder, a #2 Southern Terrier, and a healthy dose of fear. I have installed
6 decoders in regular locos OK, but any advice on this one would be more
than welcome. Thank you
Bachmann Deltic Bogies18 Dec 2003 09:21 GMT5
Are the Bachmann Deltic bogies the same as those under their class 37
(B1-1B)? Obviously, all axle drive would be preferable but this seemed a
strange choice compared to, say, Heljan's A1A-A1A under the class 47.

Riverossi Hudson - Help with Motor18 Dec 2003 03:18 GMT5
I just acquired an older Riverossi Hudson.  It has a couple problems.
The one big one is that the motor has issues.  If I apply power to the
motor, it will not spin, UNLESS I turn the driveshaft and give it a
kickstart.  The motor runs great until I stop it..then it wont go ...
