Dual guage transition track28 Dec 2003 21:38 GMT10
I'm planning on having some dual gauge trackage in my layout, HO/HOn3,
and was wondering about some nomenclature concerning track.  On
walthers.com there is some dual gauge stuff called transition track,
right and left.  Is this track where the narrow gauge diverts from the

order under $25 has a $5 handling charge tacked on, but you can select US
First Class Mail, and for an 8oz package only ran $1.68 ...

Hornby Virtual Railway28 Dec 2003 15:48 GMT1
Got myself a new copy of the Hornby Virtual Railway (Version 2) only to find
that it gives Illegal Operations on both my WinXP and Win98 machines.
Installed patch and fixed
Win98 machine, but I would like it to work on the XP computer.
BLI  - overall NG Rating28 Dec 2003 13:32 GMT6
I am looking at the most expensive planned purchase to date w/ respect
to model railroading. We'd like to add a BLI Cab Forward to our wish list.
However, I would sure like to hear from as many of you as possible as to
how BLI is perceived by modelers [such as those on this NG]. ...
Distance between platforms28 Dec 2003 12:40 GMT2
I've got two standard Hornby platforms either side of two tracks which have
the standard 6.7 cm separation but I don't know what the separation between
the platforms themselves should be.
As I'm going to fix the platforms to the baseboard and may buy a Hornby R076
Lionel O-27 log dump troubles28 Dec 2003 09:32 GMT3
I'm a model railroading newbie.  I got a Lionel starter set a couple
of years ago, and have been picking up a new piece or two here and
there.  Generally I only get the thing out around Christmas.
I started out thinking that Lionel was the big name with the history
