Guys, at the suggestion of Ed Oates, I checked out DigiKey, and their system seems pretty reasonable when you want to buy small parts like resistors. Any order under $25 has a $5 handling charge tacked on, but you can select US First Class Mail, and for an 8oz package only ran $1.68 ...

Got myself a new copy of the Hornby Virtual Railway (Version 2) only to find that it gives Illegal Operations on both my WinXP and Win98 machines. Installed patch and fixed Win98 machine, but I would like it to work on the XP computer.

I've got two standard Hornby platforms either side of two tracks which have the standard 6.7 cm separation but I don't know what the separation between the platforms themselves should be. As I'm going to fix the platforms to the baseboard and may buy a Hornby R076
