Palbrick kit?13 Feb 2004 12:30 GMT2
About 10 years ago I bought a 4mm scale kit for a 'palbrick' wagon. It was
purchased fron the Crownline stand at a show. Could anyone tell me who
produced it and if its still available? It was mostly etched with a plastic
chassis and I'd love to get hold of a few more.
Baldwin Tenders13 Feb 2004 08:55 GMT2
I've been getting very interested in early NSW railways of late and am
looking at kitbashing a Bachmann tender into something resembling the
ones pulled around behind various NSW locos. My question is: Were the
Baldwin tenders (apart from modifications afterwards to make them hold

O Layout Size?13 Feb 2004 01:29 GMT14
I usually model in N scale but lately I've been looking at some O
stuff, it looks so cool.  The only thing is, I like having some sort
of interesting layout and I can't imagine stuffing much railroad into
a reasonable space.  Of course the track plan isn't the main deal for
AMRM new loco announcement13 Feb 2004 01:01 GMT9
The rumours are flying thick and fast regarding the new manufacturer/new
loco announced by Bob in the last AMRM, and I've just heard a new one!
Story is that the new loco was (note was) to have been a 44 class, but
that the project has been abandoned!

How to remove body from life-like s-112 Feb 2004 22:55 GMT1
The instructios that came with the Life-Like Proto 2000 S-1 says to
remove the body you must unscrew the screws that are in the gas tanks.
There are no screws in the tanks. There is a small screw near the tanks
but after removing it the body does not come. Does anyone know how to

Gauge...12 Feb 2004 16:58 GMT16
...is spelt G-A-U-G-E.  For a model rail group used to talking about various
gauges, it is amazing how often this simple word is spelt incorrectly.
Think "vague" - the "a" and "u" are in the same order as "gauge", and the
words sort of rhyme.

second hand wagons wanted12 Feb 2004 13:36 GMT3
I am looking for some really cheap HO scale flat bed,  gondola, wood side
cars and a caboose or two.
They don't have to be in good condition as I am wanting to paint them up in
Christmas colours etc for the train set in my shop window display.
