SCENARIO: A unit train appears onto a layout from hidden staging. It's

I'm looking for recommendations for an electric train set for my
7-year-old niece.  She asked for one and described one she'd seen
somewhere that had stations for loading and unloading logs.

I have a problem. I need to build / make a Isolating piece of track on a slight bend (therefore cannot use the standard hornby etc. item.
Im using 00 gauge mixture of Hornby and Peco track.
The Isolator needs to go on a Hornby R606.
ANy ideas would be greatly appreciated.

23,500 gallon tank cars. I received 7 of them about two or three weeks ago
and all of them were the odd-numbered units I ordered (e.g., 1630-1, 1631-1,

I have what I think is an Athearn 50' exterior post boxcar (I bought
it without a box).  It is oxide red and numbered 57869.  "Norfolk and
Western" is spelled out in a sans-serif font and there is no herald.
There is no readable date on the data on the car.  I'm curious about

I have just put in the floor plans for the "railroad" alcove.
I have two plans and cannot decide which plan to go with.
One (the island table) allows for continuous running, the other is point to
