I know that Athearn makes a reliable engine in HO. What is considered to be the best? Is Atlas the top of the line or is Kato. Where is Proto 2000 in the mix of things. Just looking for opinions. Thanks Marty Hall

I need to build my own isolating track as it needs to be on a slight bend. This is due to the way i have set up my crossover and points system. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. Thanks Jon

I updated our article on lighting Proto 2000 GP30s with a second headlamp in the low hood. I also used a YeloGlo LED in the high hood. Photos show how to go about the modificaiton and the kind of results you can expect.

Has anyone experienced what I did? When I installed low profile Intermountain N scale metal wheel sets in some LBF coal cars the wheels will roll in the trucks but drag something awful on the rails. Larry at Papas Trains
