Photoetching?04 Mar 2004 18:04 GMT3
I am looking for sites that tell how to do this, preferably with patterning
from an inkjet printer... no "go have a special negative made" as there is
no such place near Hooterville here...
Thanks in advance.

Just a bit of fun ...
Nominations for the ugliest British steam locomotive.
I tend to favour King Henry VII, 1 of Go When Ready's 2 attempts at
streamlining. Uck
Retirement and DCC04 Mar 2004 01:34 GMT14
An early retirement opportunity means that it is time to dust off the O
scale stuff and start laying track for real - again.  I now have beaucoup
space, plenty of time (I hope) and far more money for MRing than I had
when I started with my old Lionel as a kid.  Having been out of ...
Coupling height on  Hornby 5004 Mar 2004 00:55 GMT36
Has anyone else had problems with the coupling height on the Hornby 50
("Resolution" in my case)?
I have installed the tension-lock coupler at one end of the loco, but I have
two problems with it :

Model Rail Scotland 200404 Mar 2004 00:11 GMT11
Did anyone attend Model Rail Scotland 2004 in the SECC in Glasgow over the
weekend? If so, what layouts did you like best and why?

Ballasting Peco Code 75 Track04 Mar 2004 00:10 GMT3
With the points due to arrive any day (Hopefully tomorrow, as I've got
Thursday off), I'm wondering how I'm going to ballast the track on my new
layout. I was rather suprised to see that finescale flex-track has no holes
for track pins - and I'm wondering if I'll have to drill the ...
Online Hornby03 Mar 2004 22:45 GMT2
Seems the Q1 is no longer listed on Hornbys website....
Bachmann Deltic Modifications for 2004 - where do they get the gen from??03 Mar 2004 21:11 GMT2
Just got latest Collectors club mag, on page 4, it states that the new
Deltics for 2004 are to be modified prior to final production.
Deltic 2 will be produced with running numbers of D9002!! - if the
loco is to be presented as preserved by the NRM with plated over
Still more Farish questions03 Mar 2004 19:40 GMT29
I've just looked at Farish's products page and noticed three additions
(amongst others). Classes 44, 45 and 46 no less. There are no pictures
yet, of course, but I'm wondering if these are diesels which the 'old'
Farish ever produced, or are they entirely new to the range?
Ugliest UK Kettle03 Mar 2004 18:26 GMT4
The SR Q1 has to take the Oscar, doesn't it?  The other nominees
weren't designed to be intentionally ugly...it just happened.
I can't help wondering what a Q1 would have looked like if Mr. Bulleid
had wrapped a bit of tin round the boiler.

Does anyone have a copy of the above they'd be willing to sell?
I'm particularly after the Plan Of The Month - Marylebone In
Miniature.
Many thanks,
Animation03 Mar 2004 17:15 GMT45
I'm a newbie here and I am modeling in 'N' scale.  I am wondering if
there are any books that depict how to make animation on your layout.  I
have heard that someone has built an operating movie theatre, operating
auto traffic lights with the overhead booms, neon signs, emergency
