REA Green23 Apr 2004 18:29 GMT4
I would appreciate hearing from anyone as to what color paint or paint mix
would match the Railway Express Agency dark green used on their equipment. I
have seen some references to Hunter Green but I don't know how to duplicate
that color either.
Walthers and Rivarossi23 Apr 2004 15:32 GMT2
Our rep told us today that the relationship between Walthers and Rivarossi is
dead.  Walthers will no longer receive merchandise from Rivarossi.  According
to him Hornby is buying the Rivarossi line.
Some "rules" of the game.......23 Apr 2004 14:38 GMT6
If it looks right, and it runs right, it is right........
Increasing the scale accuracy and fidelity of your model to your chosen
prototype is one way of achieving authenticity, but its not the only
way.......
MRC sound system modifications23 Apr 2004 14:05 GMT2
I understand that MRC has a sound system with programed sounds (horns,
whistles, clanking bell, etc). Has anyone modified the system such that a
particular horn sound can be programmed into it?

Inclines and levels23 Apr 2004 10:07 GMT3
Been a while as I have had to travel a lot for work recently, and can not
get newsgroups away from home. Now back to the layout.
I am building a reverse loop that will be a single track going over a double
track. I am building the incline with Woodland Scenics 2% incline blocks (I

Can someone explain to me how the  former SA railway museum got the
authority to change its name to the national rail museum?
Do they have carriages, locomotives, displays that cover each state and
territory?  Do they have an archive and members area like the National

N scale structures22 Apr 2004 22:35 GMT1
I am having trouble fitting some industries into my N scale layout and would
appreciate answers to these questions: [1] The Model Power brewery is too
long for the space available, but it could be wider.  Can the smoke stack
building be put on the side instead of the end?  [2] Are ...
Yet Another F Unit from Broadway22 Apr 2004 16:56 GMT3
I recieved an email today with this in it:
Broadway announced another new locomotive today.
Guess what it is?
Another EMD F7 in A-B, A-B-B and B sets.
Dapol vans22 Apr 2004 10:49 GMT2
Just easing my way back into 'OO'. I'd like some BR standard plywood sided
ventilated vans (bauxite). I notice that Dapol do a banana van, which is
close, but I've seen a few references to Dapol numbers that don't seem to be
on any adverts I've seen - I've looked on their website ...

Gaugemaster Hole22 Apr 2004 09:13 GMT1

Will be replacing the existing shelf mount H&M controller with a panel mount
two track controller from gaugemaster as funds permit.
Does anyone happen to know the dimensions of the facing plate and the size
Four-wheel / six-wheel trucks & kingpin holes22 Apr 2004 08:22 GMT8
I was reading the review of the Branchline NYC coach in the latest Model
Railroader, and Andy Sperandeo wrote: "As the instructions note, many of the
prototype cars rode on four-wheel trucks.  Although Branchline isn't offering
these yet, the body bolsters have extra kingpin holes ...

DCC Module Question21 Apr 2004 19:28 GMT6
Continuing my theme of DCC questions - is there anywhere (on the web
probably) where I can find out which module I should use for each particular
model? (uk outline). I had a quick look this morning before work at the Lenz
site but it just seems to list modules by numbers - which ...
