I am considering adding structure lights and maybe street lights to my N scale layout. I am not an electrician but have done a little research on the subject and have a couple of questions. I plan on using 1.5 V bulbs. I have found plans in a Model Railroader

I tried weathering some boxcars with chalk for the first time today and thought I was doing OK. That is, until I sprayed on some Testor's Dullcote and blew the chalk away. The Dullcote when dry also seemed to obscure the details. Do you guys "overdo" the chalk weathering so that ...

I've got a friend who is changing to brass O gauge and wishes to sell a set of 9 Lima Mk1 O gauge coaches. I believe these are a mix of types and are in either blue/grey or Network southeast. They are all in excellent condition and boxed.

I have a chance to go digital and am wondering just how easy it is to fit decoder modules to non-DCC ready locos. Does it need a degree in electronics or intimate knowledge of motors? Any advice appreciated. TIA, Dave. --

I would like to get a British Rail DMU class 110. I would like a Bachmann but I don't thing they do one. What is your opinion of the Hornby version, and can you changed to dcc. Thanks Paul
