Motorising model signals - any good on-line tutorials about?26 May 2004 01:21 GMT8
As title, even though I haven't been able to update my website for a while
with up to date pics my little layout is moving on quite nicely and I'm now
at the stage where I'm thinking about the signalling. *Well I have thought
about it before but kept putting it off).
PECO and North American trackage.26 May 2004 01:15 GMT54
I see that PECO are going to introduce HO scale North American trackage
built to NMRA standards with correct tie size and spacing and spike details
for North America.
Does that mean that they're now going to introduce track that is built to OO

Heard of Radio 2 this afternoon that a Train was on the back of a lorry
going up the M1,
Anyone any idea what it was?

DANGEROUS CHEMICALS25 May 2004 21:17 GMT10
The Guardian newspaper has been running a series about the "Chemical
World" and I noticed a couple of items on Saturday
Isocyanates are linked to respiratory diseases such as asthma.  So we're
considering super glue.  If an adult like me hasn't got asthma by now,
Bachmann 45/1 blue Peaks25 May 2004 21:08 GMT5
Bachmann's recently released blue Peak 45114 is not supplied with the air
reservoir tanks which should be fitted below the battery boxes.  All class
45/1s carried these throughout their working lives after conversion to dual
braking.
LNER (ex-GC) A5 Pacific tanks - quick question25 May 2004 18:18 GMT5
My next scratchbuilding project is an A5 in BR lined black, by way of
something different and to finally(!) give my proposed layout some
ex-LNE motive power. However, I'm a bit unsure about the buffers; Nick
Campling's drawing from a 1973 RM depicts an LNER-era loco with round

Who makes 40' PS-1 boxcars with 6' doors?
I'm aware of InterMountain Railway's 40' PS-1 (kit #40499, $10.95) and
Kadee's 40' PS-1 (RTR #4000, $24.65).

March Whitemoor Open Day - now online24 May 2004 22:03 GMT8
A superb little open day at March this afternoon, with an excellent display
of NRs new automated ballast and track-laying kit.
Also a couple of GBRf class 66s, including the naming of 66701 "Whitemoor"
and an ex-GER J15 posing as 65420, a former March machine.

Trainorama RU's ..... second run24 May 2004 14:46 GMT4
Had a visit to Tom's Discount Hobbies this morning and saw the production
samples of the next run of Trainorama RU's. Whilst essentially re-runs of
the former tooling, this run will have metal wheels, and brake line hoses
(in industrial plastic). Naturally, all grab handles are ...
UP Armour yellow paint24 May 2004 05:25 GMT2
Hi all,
Does anyone know if the UP armour yellow paint comes in just a regular spray
paint can? I know the color is available for air brushes, but was just
wondering. Or another color in a spray paint can that is relatively close to
Train on the Bachelor23 May 2004 23:47 GMT3
Did anyone watch the bachelor final episode.  When Jesse was reclining
on the bed with Tara,, there was a passenger train model (HO scale?) on
the headboard behind them?
