Gluing foam board21 May 2004 01:27 GMT8
I note that many of you recommend Liquid Nails for gluing foam board
to foam board
though this is NOT recommended on the Liquid Nails cartridge
directions. What is your experience?
Wagon card website20 May 2004 08:12 GMT6
I seem to recall a website with the wagon operating card system explained
but can not locate it.
I am up to that stage in the development of the rail operating division of
Petan Transport Industries Inc.
Where is the 12" = 1' Challenger?20 May 2004 07:28 GMT6
I understand that the Union Pacific maintains an operating 4-6-6-4.  Does
anyone have info on an appearance schedule or where the engine can be seen?
MR20 May 2004 03:00 GMT2
Not to get into a cost thread again but I did look at the cover of the
latest MR at the LHS.  Seems it was $5.95, is that correct
Switch lights19 May 2004 17:21 GMT2
Last night I purchased the Model Power brand switch lights.  Their number
8570 (or is it 8970).  Anyway, I like the look of the units
but I don't like the light output.
All three lights (red, amber, green) are way too bright for scale and
GP Diesels19 May 2004 16:38 GMT8
Hi,
Gosh, I hate to be such a pest, but I just can't seem to be able to
make up my mind as to the locomotive I should buy for my layout!
I've decided against steam, and for  diesel, and I like the looks of
Traveling by Train18 May 2004 21:37 GMT16
Just back in Illinois from a layout delivery to Chico, CA. As long as I had the
time, I decided to take the California Zephyr back to Illinois. I know that I
am preaching to the choir here, but what a wonderful way to travel and see the
country. I have taken that train several times ...

Help: Lenz Set 90/Digitrax Decoder Problem18 May 2004 11:55 GMT6
I just upgraded from an Atlas Master DCC system to the Lenz Set 90.
When I first powered up, I had 5 locomotives sitting on the tracks.
One took off like a rocket in reverse and the others just sat still. I
tried getting control of the rocket to no avail. Then I tried
Filtering out Noise18 May 2004 04:49 GMT13
has anyone put together a filter for cleaning up the output from DC
controllers? I'm thinking of a simple LC circuit that I could knock up
in a few minutes to reduce the noise the ancient controllers at my club
throw out and which present some difficulties for DCC fitted stock.

Interior of Structures17 May 2004 21:50 GMT3
Usually I just stick black cardboard in my structures and forget about it.  Now
I'd like to try my hand at having an interior, or at least something that
passes as one.  I thought about taking pictures of local storefronts with a
digital camera and then scaling them down to fit in ...
Seen at Didcot17 May 2004 20:52 GMT6
A very ropy looking Class 37 in mainline livery with copious rust, but
evidently still in some kind of service, as it comes and goes.
Often seen next to a gaggle of EWS class 66s.
Just in case you were interested at all at all.
