Couplers, sub roadbed and other goodies...12 May 2004 06:09 GMT5
I've been reading posts until I feel I can never read another again!
My poor eyes. What I decided to do is to retro-fit metal KD couplers
on all my rolling stock and then uncouple by hand if the uncoupling

the trick to laying out flex track without the frustration I'm
experiencing?  Seasoned modelers will know what I'm talking about -

N scale turntable question11 May 2004 06:43 GMT13
I left a space for an Atlas turntable [7.5"] when I built my layout,
planning to get one later.  After seeing the Atlas turntable, I'm not
thrilled by its appearance.  I would like something with a pit and bridge.
I built my own HO turntable 25 years ago, so I'm considering doing ...
Questions about Broadway Limited Imports.11 May 2004 06:25 GMT1
Long time no post.
I have been amazed at the output of Broadway Limited Imports.
How do these guys release so many locomotives per year?  Do they lease
the tooling from Life Like and others or do they do all new tooling

best sort of railroad builder and official, and was a humorist in

Painting with Ceramcoat10 May 2004 17:40 GMT3
Thought I'd save a couple bucks by trying Ceramcoat for painting structures.  I
tried using the paint straight out of the bottle, but found it a bit too thick.
I then tried using several thinned coats, but found that the color of the
underlying plastic still bleeds through.  (It's ...
