Help with derailing engine09 May 2004 05:06 GMT4
I have a Bowser 4-6-2 Pacific that has been running well for about 4 years
which now is derailing in a straight section of flex track. The six drive
wheels are all derailing to the left. I have put a gauge to the track and
drive wheels and all check out fine. This is the second ...

I have recently purchased some of the Thrall and Gunderson units from Aline.
All have not arrived, but the first arrived without screws for the Kadee
couplers.  I would like to know which size screws I should use?  Thanks in
advanced for your assistance.

A couple of years ago there was a eastern US company that offered a
resin Alco HH.
I lost the bookmark for this company, and was hoping some one had the
URL if this product is still available.  Roger Aultman

I just got my first DPM kit.  I have done other simple kits before.  I
usually paint them after assembly with a brush.  I then weather at the same
time.  I don't have an airbrush.  It seems that the instructions suggest
painting after assembly.  But I have seen posts here suggesting ...

Acrylic inks08 May 2004 15:02 GMT4
Does anyone have any experience using acrylic inks?
I have a Mecanorma MG1 technical pen which I use for
lining locos with 'Magic Colour' acrylic inks. They have decided to
discontinue the production of opaque inks (except black and white)
Help re: window pane simulation on Plastruct sheet08 May 2004 06:14 GMT1
I have some clear plastic sheets with 1/8th inch embossed squares.  I want
to simulate industrial windows.  To do so I read once about a technique
where you can rub a substance over the surface of brick sheets and the color
will seat in the grooves, then you can wipe off the surface ...

Flex Track Problems07 May 2004 13:43 GMT1
I am in the process of laying my track and seem to be having

the trick to laying out flex track without the frustration I'm

Boxes, to keep or not?07 May 2004 13:19 GMT23
I am starting to amass a collection of boxes in which came HO kits and
RTR rolling stock.  I am thinking that the only reason to save many of
them is if I ever want to sell them.  In many cases, once constructed
and ready to put on a layout they either fit very loosly in the box or
