Blue/ Pink foam alternatives...27 Jun 2004 16:12 GMT9
Well...I currently live in the San Francisco Bay Area...and have had no luck
finding Blue or Pink foam. In fact, I have been told that it is no longer sold
in this area due to OSHA crap. I don't know if it is true or not, but it
doesn't matter because I just can't find the stuff. ...
Proto to release Wabash 2-10-227 Jun 2004 12:59 GMT7
Details at :

Odd choice, thought a USRA 2-10-2 was the pea for this choice. Or are they
the same thing?

Does anyone know why Life-Like would hardwire the tender light to be on all
the time in DCC?

MTK Class 140 and 141 Railbus Kits?26 Jun 2004 14:50 GMT2
I was wondering if anyone can help?
At the moment I would like to build a model of a Class 141 railbus (and
possibly a Class 140 too). I know MTK produced a kit of the 141 and from
memory they did a 140 too. The kits are not that great as I built a MTK
Anyone know? (Railway question)26 Jun 2004 13:31 GMT2
I managed to get hold of the 1955 copy of the Book by "Manifold" about
the Leek & Manifold Light Railway.....Inside it referees to "The British
Transport Commission". I know these chaps have gone, but what did they
become?

Broadway Limited USRA Light 2-8-226 Jun 2004 04:25 GMT26
I see that BLI are producing a light 2-8-2, as well as the heavy they
already do. Those of us who like modern steam, and/or USRA power, are
being spoiled for choice - not that I'm complaining! :-)
Has anybody got either of these locos, and would care to comment on them?
Stayless firebox26 Jun 2004 04:03 GMT5
Some time back there were some very nice illustrations of loco boilers with
stayless fireboxes on this group. I have a friend building a live steamer
who would be very interested if the person who put them up could oblige
again.
Improving Setrack points26 Jun 2004 03:54 GMT3

counductive paint help slow running for 0-4-0s and 0-6-0s
(specifically a Dapol Pug & Terrier)
Logic says yes, but not knowing exactly how these points are put

of my sources almost since the beginning.  Gary Roe is another person
that‘s kept me busy these past few weeks. A lot of the Wabash depots I
