I just purchased an atlas F7 off of ebay. My intention was to use the
chassis with an existing shell I already had (detailed and weathered
but dead running gear). The other shell is of undetermined
manufacturer but was made in Hong Kong.

 Can anyone in the Group help me find a copy of the Book "Southern
Pacific's Modoc Line" by Tom Dill / Jack Bowden.
   I've been told it's out of print and I've alreday serched several book

I have the opportunity to purchase a couple of locos which have digital
chips installed. Can I run them as they are on my conventional layout, or do
i have to remove the chips.

Having seen on certain web pages that when installing a DCC decoder into a
Bachmann 37 the removal of the little orange capacitors aids running etc., I
