What usually causes derailments on older track?
I've been cleaning some and the test train kept derailing at curves.  The only
obvoius thing was the uneven surface the track was on.

I have two items up for auction right now, but have box after box to go. I
really don't know anything about trains as this stuff was inherited. I have
both built and unbuilt. All I know is the guy that built them was one
talented guy! Anyway, it is mostly Athearn in HO scale from ...

Does anyone know if the Galesburg webcam is gone for good?  I really miss
it!.

I have a number of Kadee Micro-Trains (N scale) cars, long
discontinued.  Can anyone direct me to a list of what these are
currently worth on the collectors' market?

Any Ideas for a new Motor for this loco
I buy this for any years over Ebay, not the original Motor inside

I've started looking at microlayouts that use either "transfer tables",
"traversers", or turntables instead of space-gobbling turnouts.  However, I've
not found anything on how to go about building and wiring them.  Can anyone
recommend any web sites?

What books are there on LNER wagons?
I'm looking for something like the Essery LMS Wagons books,
with enough details for modelling.

Australian company, Eureka Models, has just announced that they will be
producing an HO model of the New South Wales Government Railways AD60
class Beyer-Garratt
This will be the first injection moulded Garratt to be produced anywhere

A couple of weeks monitoring Ebay seems to indicate that there hasn't
been a rtr N Gauge Q1 (though I could easily be wrong on this).
Does anyone currently make a kit?

Hey, I just noticed that -- according to traditional lists -- this year is my
"copper anniversary."  Do you think it would be considered in poor taste to
ask my wife if a brass model qualifies? ;-)

Supplied with the kit I've just got is a Mashima motor, there's no model
number on it that I can see (still in it's wrapping for the moment). It's
about the size of a thumbnail and has a rod coming out from both ends.
