Santa Fe branchline station 27 Sep 2004 02:59 GMT4
Some time back (in the mid 80s) I built a station from a MR plan.
I have since moved several times, and in the process lost both the
model and the MRs.
I have searched the model train magazine index, and I think the one I
Bachmann cl. 2027 Sep 2004 00:21 GMT6
I bought one of these a while ago, and it runs well except over Hornby
points.  Anyone noticed a similar problem, can you offer any advice or a
remedy?
It's probably just my dodgy tracklaying:-)
From the corners of my mind - was it an SDP40/5?27 Sep 2004 00:15 GMT7
It was the year Soilent Green came out (73).  Christmas Eve, and just
before Midnight Mass downtown in Houston at the now-missing Union
Station there was a really long Amtrak train sitting there waiting for
departure the next day.  ex-Santa Fe high levels for the most part,

Primer recommendation needed26 Sep 2004 21:16 GMT16
Just been painting a plastic house kit, but paint coverage on large areas
is patchy despite two or three coats of enamel. I wonder if primer would
make a difference?
If so, anyone got any suggestions as to what the best primer to use is?
ebay slowdown?26 Sep 2004 19:15 GMT4
I am not an ebay regular, but occasionally browse to see what's being sold
or to benchmark prices on items I'm appraising or buying or selling.  For
the last month or so, I've found ebay to be much slower loading than it used
to be (I'm still using dial-up), and in particular the HO ...

Hello Steve,
We have two model shops in Camborne here in Cornwall
It would seem unless it is Peco it isn't made. The other makes you have
mentioned how do I find them as again the model shop say they must be one
Cardboard kits26 Sep 2004 11:29 GMT19
I am a Brit in Atlanta who is modeling a Southern British Railway. I have
purchased many building kits from the UK but I am having a hard time finding
the right type of glue to assemble them. The brand they recommend is not
available here, I have tried superglue but it leaves ...
How hard is N scale to model?25 Sep 2004 22:47 GMT13
I'm reading this book on N scale modeling by Robert Schleicher,
and he says that "N scale is the most difficult of the popular
scales to model because it requires much more precision".
I'm not doubting the author's opinion, but can anyone offer

Yellow front25 Sep 2004 09:30 GMT1
How much yellow or orange has to be on the front/rear of the loco; according
to the safety regulations so the loco can be seen at level crossings etc etc
Does the whole front have to be yellow or orange?  Is there any difference
in the rules for yellow and orange?
Any Narrow Gaugers here ?25 Sep 2004 01:21 GMT18
I lurk in this a lot , but very seldom post. I enjoy all scales , as
long as they're  trains , I love'm. Although I have some of everything
from Z , Nn3 to G , my primary interest is Hon3 . I also dabble in
On30 some. The more I get into the larger scale , the more I like it,
This is why I want built-in DCC...25 Sep 2004 00:13 GMT20

In my case it would be a 170 rather than a 158 but the principle is the same.
Not quite the "simple job" certain posters would have us believe is it?
