Evening group... I have a notion/need to convert one of my farish class 33/0
to class 33/1 (with bagpipes).

I'm in the process of building a new layout with Vinylbed roadbed which is
pretty nice stuff. However, I am one piece short!! Arrrgh!!!
The problem is, getting just one piece is very difficult, since the product is
produced to fill each order individually and there is a long waiting ...

Has anyone any ideas on how I can build a helix inside a mountain.
Where do I start - I have ideas for building the helix, cutting
plywood circles out and seperated by screw thread studding but where
do I start with the mountain around it and how do I access the inside

After many years of faithful service my bag of 'chads' has finally run out.
( These are the small rectangular 'punchings' from old computer programming
sheets and are used to give a brick effect on model buildings a la Iain

I recall an regular ad for such an enclosure, but although I've searched
back through many issues of RM MR BRM and CM, I can't find it.
I want to find out the sizes etc to plan the hole in the wall position in
some imminent building...but can I now fond the ad?..no

It can be awkward fitting motors through or under the baseboard, has anyone
tried using the rod-and-sleeve method with Peco PL10 point motors?  Does it
work?

Can you get other DCC chips for n gauge that are smaller than the Lenz
LEA511A the cost of this chip is £21.99
A chip that is lower in price and  with just a simple function as forward
and backwards.
