Sorry chaps - US shortline - Would they see engines from connecting lines running on their rails? If I have a shortline with just a couple of engines would it be okay to run a 'visiting' engine on the line?

Subject says it all really... I need phot of BR calss 33 No. D6580. This was converted to class 33/1 by Eastleigh while still in green livery. I inderstand the jumpers varied from the final pattern.

As I plan my model I am inclined to set it in Europe, I am a little put off by the overhead electrics and wonder how difficult are they to put together. I take it that the locos will take their power from the overhead? Cheers,

Kind of new to all of this but will be building a very large layout in the very near future. Can anyone advise me of what 'OO' track manufacturers are compatible with one another and if any combinations of tracks brands cause a problem.
