Scratch-building a diamond crossing because the angle I want is not
available from the Usual Suspects.
Should be easy enough, but I seem to be struggling.  Is there a handy

The website for TexNrails has had a face lift. Navigation has been
improved making items easier to find. An advanced search engine is
also available. And a personal shopping assistant (My Orders Function)
has been added.

Can anyone throw out a few ideas on how one would mount a Tortoise switch
machine about the layout table, next to the turnout?  Looking at it, it
would appear that I would need to mount it on a small block so that the rod
could be bent towards the switch.  If anyone has pictures ...

Does anyone know if the Railpower CF7 shell will fit Athearn's new CF7 drive
unit. I did a Railpower CF7 for Reading & Northern & put it on an old
Athearn drive. Terrible!

G'day all!
I have just finished a minor update of the Austrains website,
concentrating mainly on the latest (Oct) newsletter and the X class
page, as John finally got around to getting me some models to photograph!

Walthers has a very nice model of the 56' Thrall All-Door Box Car.
Apparently the prototype was introduced in 1967.
Does anyone own one of these? Can you tell me what the build date is of
the Weyerhaeuser model? Where could this car be seen in action?
