Our latest kit, DD1026, Skid Row Part One in HO will be sold out this

Scratch-building a diamond crossing22 Oct 2004 05:08 GMT6
Scratch-building a diamond crossing because the angle I want is not
available from the Usual Suspects.
Should be easy enough, but I seem to be struggling.  Is there a handy
how-to on the good old Interweb?

The website for TexNrails has had a face lift. Navigation has been
improved making items easier to find. An advanced search engine is
also available. And a personal shopping assistant (My Orders Function)
has been added.
Mounting Switch Machine22 Oct 2004 00:01 GMT1
Can anyone throw out a few ideas on how one would mount a Tortoise switch
machine about the layout table, next to the turnout?  Looking at it, it
would appear that I would need to mount it on a small block so that the rod
could be bent towards the switch.  If anyone has pictures ...

I'm willing to start model railroading (HO) but, after a couple of years
that I've been reading articles, searching through catalogs, I still
hesitate what I'll bought to start.
As an european, I have a preference for Märklin models. Because of the

1930's N-scale hotel ideas needed!21 Oct 2004 02:34 GMT3
I'm in the process of building a small HO shortline which serves a
mountain resort/hotel during the early 30's and I want to use an N-scale
type building to represent the resort in the background. For the life of
me, I can't find any building that will work. Does anyone know of a ...

Does anyone know if the Railpower CF7 shell will fit Athearn's new CF7 drive
unit. I did a Railpower CF7 for Reading & Northern & put it on an old
Athearn drive. Terrible!
Thanks for the help.

Austrains web site update20 Oct 2004 10:31 GMT3

I have just finished a minor update of the Austrains website,
concentrating mainly on the latest (Oct) newsletter and the X class
page, as John finally got around to getting me some models to photograph!
56' Thrall All-Door Box Car - Weyerhaeuser20 Oct 2004 06:11 GMT4
Walthers has a very nice model of the 56' Thrall All-Door Box Car.
Apparently the prototype was introduced in 1967.
Does anyone own one of these? Can you tell me what the build date is of
the Weyerhaeuser model? Where could this car be seen in action?
