In the last two days one of my websites: http://www.bristol-rail.co.uk has managed to find its way into over 800 surfers favourites file. This is a huge amount more than normal, (a normal week would see it being

| DCC Decoders with Sound | 02 Nov 2004 08:29 GMT | 13 |
Wanted to pose a question to those of you who have sound decoders in your diesel units. My question: Are you MU'ing multiple units, each with sound? Or do you find that for example, one unit with sound and one without is still loud enough and acceptable?

| Hornby Zero 1 - help! | 02 Nov 2004 00:18 GMT | 13 |
A visit to the loft revealed my '80s Hornby track, locos, rolling stock etc. I see that I junked the controllers in favour of the Zero 1 control system inc one slave unit. Not all locos have modules, but I wonder if I should module them or perhaps

| Trainorama 44 class | 01 Nov 2004 17:26 GMT | 11 |
I have some of the Lima 44s, and they really are, as Terry Flynn says, junk. I only bought them because I wanted to see if I could make decent models of them. I have since decided it's not worth the effort. It would be almost as easy to scratchbuild one as it is to do the ...

| Plaster | 01 Nov 2004 17:06 GMT | 9 |
On my old layout I used paper towel strips dripped in plaster applied over a screen or chicken wire framework. This worked well except when I had to tear it up, due to a move after several, the plaster was very crumblely and powdery. I used several different types of plaster ...

| Double Crossover - DCC wiring | 01 Nov 2004 16:44 GMT | 6 |
Re: Walthers [item #: 932-8812] How difficult is it to wire these double switches for DCC? I ask because they're advertised as DCC friendly. I have NO idea what that means. Is there one definitive book [with a lot of

| IHC Consolidation | 01 Nov 2004 15:21 GMT | 23 |
Acting on some recommendations, I just aquired an IHC Consolidation. Putting Kaydee/compatable couplers on it was easy. Painting the handrails, cit rods and side rods was easy. Some other upgrades shouldn't be hard. But what about the two sand domes? I'm not sure I've seen a ...

| what kato or atlas frame will fit life like f40ph shell? | 01 Nov 2004 06:26 GMT | 6 |
I'm tired of waiting for Atlas or kato to make an F40PH. Which Atlas or Kato road switcher can take a Life Like shell with the least amount of surgery/work? I'm looking for a decent looking runner, not a precise museum quality model, but those huge pilot slots got to go....

| Fishplates | 01 Nov 2004 02:19 GMT | 8 |
I'm after fake fishplates to bolt (ok, glue) every scale 39' on my code 100 On30 track. The HO ones would be fine - if I found any. Now, it's the sort of thing that I'd expect to be a common item among the detail boys, but I'm buggered if I can find any. Does anybody know a ...
