Kato Turnout Control Question25 Nov 2004 20:09 GMT19
I am at the point of wiring the yard area on my railroad. I am using Kato #6
turnouts. However, I do not like the controllers that Kato provides with the
turnouts, and would like to make a more traditional control panel with push
button swtiches and track diagram.

Model Railroad for son - a bit long and cross posted25 Nov 2004 12:24 GMT33
My son has taken an interest in model railroads after watching the Thomas
the Tank shows and playing with their wooden rail systems.  He's been asking
for a "real" train that can go by itself.  When I was growing up Lionel
trains were the ones to have but I just found out they ...
Interiors for Athearn Passenger Cars?25 Nov 2004 07:57 GMT3
Does anyone make interior seating that can be placed in Athearn's streamline
and/or heavyweight passenger cars?  It would be nice to have something that
simply slips inside the models on which we could place some HO scale sitting
figures.

Stupid Americans Put to Rest25 Nov 2004 00:40 GMT6
I have not read the apparently great number of messages regarding
"Stupid Americans".  I can guess many pro and con arguments and much
name-calling has gone on.  We need to move beyond hatred, politics of
the extreme and find common ground.  The majority of Americans, and
Mehano Class 6624 Nov 2004 22:33 GMT50
I am trying to find out if anyone knows if there is a retailer in the UK
who stock Mehano as I have been looking at the European web sites which
list Mehano and promise a variety of 66's in various liveries in HO.
Like the fact Mehano are selling some with the chips fitted to give ...
"Cheap housing"24 Nov 2004 22:06 GMT19
I posted this on the MR forum and thought I'd ask for suggestions here as
well.  Does anyone have a solution for affordable HO housing for their model
cities/towns/villages?  Plastic kits today seem to be hovering around the
$20 mark and I need enough of them that that is kind of ...

have disappered from the Holt web site.
Any one know if they are still in business.

BLI and Proto E6s24 Nov 2004 03:45 GMT8
Has anyone had a chance to compare the recently released Broadway Limited E6
to the Proto 2000 E6 with sound?  If you have, what are your opinions and
conclusions?  Thanks.
