Was looking for some ideas for a layout in the basement. Any ideas where to
find plans made up to share or does anyone have a few I could look at?

I'm so confuuuuused!17 Dec 2004 21:40 GMT12

sand the cork roadbed, vacuum,  and begin laying track.  I doubt I'll
be using dual-cab control with a control panel, but I plan to wire it
so, anyway, in case I change my mind later.. But before I begin wiring,
Who builds the best HO/OO Stephenson's Rocket?17 Dec 2004 21:08 GMT2
as per subject - am keen to find out if/where I might find a nice

The mouse in Hornby Catalogues?17 Dec 2004 21:03 GMT12
Many years ago I sold my entire model railway to buy (of all bloody things)
a motorcycle......a short-lived thing, which I also nearly became. Shameful
thing in hindsight, but youth does funny things to people (probably IS
wasted on the young)

of Spokane and saw a local freight with about 10-12 cars - and a
caboose!  Been a while.  No idea why, since BNSF got rid of them many

Xmas mystery16 Dec 2004 20:59 GMT4

nominally G scale but definitely in the toy category.  Huffs and puffs
and whistles from a remote control.
Twice so far this year it's decided to go for a run on its own.  Once in
Hornby EMU at last?16 Dec 2004 19:46 GMT16
Acording to a couple of posts on the DEmodellers group on yahoo, Hornby
has undertaken to make Pre nationisation EMU's and is seeking input for
the best type to make?
Can anyone confirm or deny this?
remote switch doesnt engage16 Dec 2004 18:27 GMT2
i flip the swith and it makes a bunch of noice, but the magnet cannot
flip the lever and switch the turnout. when I remove the switch from
the track the little plastic thing moves back and forth no problem.
When I put it back on, it is unable to pull the tracks back and forth.
