I just got my first train set (O scale) and wanted to go pick up a few
little things to get my empire started only to be shocked at the prices.  A
little station was $100 and a church was $75.  Even the little model people
cost about $5 for just a few.  Why are these things so ...

any pics of the original or models if possible - this is something that
simply stopped me in my tracks yesterday when I visited Trainworld in
Brighton - it is the shop's logo. Absolutely stunning!

I need to build a few '4 sided roofs'  (hip roofs ??).    Rather than using
the 'cut it and see if it fits method', is there a 'proper' way to work out
the size and shape of the four 'sides' and then lay that out on flat card ??

As per subject - I am trying to get a kit or finished Stirling 8ft Single in
OO scale. Only one on eBay and it is out of my price range

When I was a youngster I had a Hornby BoBo loco modeled on those that used
to travel across the Pennines through the Woodhead Tunnel.
The set came with overhead catenery and the loco could pick up either off
the track or the overhead.

I am looking for some airport support vehicle for my N scale layout.
Had a look in Hobbyco in Sydney with no luck. Do any of you kind folks
no of a place where I can get aiport vehicles? Looking for tugs with
tow bars, baggage conveyer belts and catering trucks. Any help and
