The Blackpool Highflyer25 Dec 2004 08:03 GMT3
If you are interested in reading a good mystery novel set in Edwardian
times on the L&Y Railway, I would recommend 'The Blackpool Highflyer' by
Andrew Martin. It features the same main character who was in 'The
Necropolis Railway' who is now working as a fireman on the L&Y. Very ...

I have just given my son an HO train set. The Iron Horse set by Life Like
Trains.  This set uses a Steam Style Locomotive that does not seem to want
to run very well.  It starts to go then sits there and emits a whirring
sound like the motors running but the transmission is not ...

run-a-way troller transcab24 Dec 2004 19:02 GMT1
There was a short in the track that took out my Troller hand held throttle
so it only runs wide open. What would be the most likely component that
failed? The company has been out of business for twenty plus years now but
my several units have worked all this time until the one that ...

N Guage Goods Shunting24 Dec 2004 16:31 GMT2
I have read that shunting yards set in n-gauge are not very realistic and
are much better in OO and that N is best left to long rakes set in
