| Bachmann Pannier Slow Running | 24 Dec 2004 12:42 GMT | 3 |
After some ideas on why my Bachmann Pannier (0-6-0 GWR) tank runs so poorly. It's OK at speed, but when you slow it down it becomes shaky and juddery and frequently stops altogether. I'm fairly confident it's not the track because my other Bachmann tank (0-6-2) runs beautifully

I've been away from the hobby for a while. Does anyone make a RTR 00 BR Std 4 2-6-0 yet, or is anyone rumoured to be introducing one?

| Garratt and Lighting Practices | 24 Dec 2004 00:47 GMT | 5 |
G'day from the US... I am putting into service an HO NSW 6000 class 4-8-4+4-8-4 that I acquired in memory of a stint of work in Sydney a few years ago. It has a shallow headlight at both ends, plus what appear to be small square light fixtures

| MU question | 24 Dec 2004 00:16 GMT | 2 |
This may be slightly off-topic but model railroaders are probably more "electronic" than full-scale railfans. How does full scale Multiple Unit wiring work to put loco's together in a consist?? What makes it interesting is that MU connections seem to

| Hey Pac Man | 23 Dec 2004 22:11 GMT | 3 |
A question on your tagline, Weather Or No Go New Haven. Did you make that up or was it actually used by the NYNH&H ? If you make it up, it puts you in the same class as Darren Stevens! Best Regards,

I'm trying to locate the plans for an HO train layout that appeared in Boy's Life magazine during the 1960's. It was built on a sheet of plywood. I'd appreciate any help with finding these plans. Thanks

| Hornby 2005 new releases | 23 Dec 2004 21:09 GMT | 3 |
I notice that, whilst not mentioned in the text, Hornby show in their listing "R2466 BR 4-6-2 Merchant Navy Class". They don't say "Rebuilt" or am I just being too hopeful that it will be an original?! Merry Xmas everyone,

| DCC and DC advice | 23 Dec 2004 19:02 GMT | 34 |
OK folks. Here's the situation... I have a layout which consists of 3 continuous running tracks and sidings which are controlled by 4 DC controllers (actually two double ones). I want to move towards DCC, but don't have the cash to convert everything at once, so I'm looking for a

| Maximum Speed | 23 Dec 2004 18:58 GMT | 81 |
The three Hornby Thomas locos we have all seem to rocket around the track at the maximum throttle speed, while my children consider the Bachmann class 24 diesel to be rather slow. So I have estimated the scale speeds being achieved:
