Copper Plated Track???11 Jan 2005 20:25 GMT8
As copper oxidises to a rust colour and remains an excellent conductor, I
was wondering why track wasn't made in copper or copper plated....
There must be a drawback somewhere.

Points Motors: Further thoughts11 Jan 2005 11:42 GMT21
Just got a post regarding memory wire, thanks!
Looked up a few things and it appears this stuff expends when heated to 70
deg C - therefore it needs to have current passed through it in order for it
to work. Seems ok depending on how much and how hot I guess. But then it got

makers.

What colours are used for signals these days?11 Jan 2005 00:24 GMT6
6'x2' + 6ish' x 1ish'11 Jan 2005 00:02 GMT14
Still playing around with ideas for my new layout.
I've got space at one end of around 6'x2' to which I can allocate additional
space of 6 - 8' x 1' (18" dropping to 1' or thereabouts) approx running off
one of the long sides to make a "T".
Points motors?10 Jan 2005 23:05 GMT26
What are OO/HO modellers using as points motors these days? Does one still
have to buy proprietary products or are there small 12 volt solenoids
available that do the job successfully, yet less expensively?
Thanks
