this train! My Great Grandpapy worked on it as a breakman (or possibly a
conductor) and I'm thinking of modeling it.

tried to think of a way. I couldn't hide them in a couple of box cars or a
First wasp stripes?27 Jan 2005 13:58 GMT9
When did wasp stripes first appear on British shunters?
When I was a very small kid in the late 1950's our street backed onto a
railway embankment. Every so often a gang of us would see how far up the
embankment we would dare climb. The passing engine drivers pretended they

Hi all....
I'm starting a new scratchbuilding project and have a little dilemma.
The car I'm modelling (Melbourne Comeng EMU) has curved (outward)

Where is the measurement of a curve track taken? At the inside rail? The

BLI Steam Models27 Jan 2005 04:54 GMT8
Now that BLI has quite a few models under their belt, what do you all
think of scale fidelity for each one represented? Yes, the overall
appearance of each look like what they are suppose to represent. But
looking deeper into these models what are the faults? I am familiar with
Being Kicked Out of the House27 Jan 2005 01:23 GMT5
Yes after all these years my HO scale switching railroad is being kicked out

building that is 12 ft by 24 ft behind the house . The building will be
insulated, heated and air conditioned. I began to work ...

Hornby Virtual Railway 126 Jan 2005 23:32 GMT7
Having just updated my computer's OS, I have just reinstalled this program
and the three available patches from Hornby's site and found myself getting
back into using it yesterday for rough planning of a bedroom wall layout.
Couple of questions:

Can anyone tell me when the changeover was from Semaphore to the modern
light type signals ??
I've seen Steam era layouts with light type signals but is this correct ?

Would it be quite easy for Bachmann to make one based on the Voyagers or
does the shape differ too much?
