| Shays Downunder | 25 Jan 2005 11:01 GMT | 15 |
As many of you would know, I am a returning modeller, after a 30 yr absence. Planning my new layout now, which involves a couple of very small-cobbled together (visually) mining sites. I am thinking of a slate mine (quarry?) and a silver mine.

| Free layout framework - San Diego | 24 Jan 2005 18:22 GMT | 1 |
About 15 years ago I started building an L-shaped HO-n30 layout in my garage. I got the basic framework done and some of the roadbed. Then had to to partially dismantle it when we had some remodeling done on the house. It's been taking up space in my garage ever since. I've finally ...

| Saving magazines | 24 Jan 2005 16:02 GMT | 58 |
Here's a question to chew on. How many of you save the entire magazine after you've read it, to keep the articles in there of interest to you? Think about it: after a few years, you'll have a collection of magazines

| Roundhouse or Bachmann Spectrum? | 24 Jan 2005 14:39 GMT | 6 |
I have a chance to get a Shay in either of these brands - I believe the Roundhouse will be around $30-40 cheaper and feel there may be good reason for this. What do people think about the two brands?
