Spectrum 0-4-2 to DCC07 Feb 2005 18:30 GMT1
How easy/hard is it to convert the Spectrum On30 0-4-2 to DCC control
and what sort of system works the best.
I also have the Spectrum On30 Shay and want to get the Climax as well.
Finally does the headlight/led need an extra resistor/changing on the
HO Speed07 Feb 2005 14:33 GMT46
Recently someone mentioned in this group that in HO scale you could
calculate the speed of your train by some particular calculation. I think it
required measuring the distance that the train traveled and dividing by the
time.
Kato colors07 Feb 2005 14:16 GMT4
I recently got some of the new Kato UP passenger cars to go with the
earlier [1990's]set, and I found that they are darker Armour yellow than
the earlier cars. Have my first cars faded, or are they using a darker
color on the recent set? The new ones are a closer match for the

Photos for backdrops07 Feb 2005 06:54 GMT5
If this has been asked before I apologize for the duplicate question.
We are in the process of building our new club layout and would like to
use photos printed to HO scale for some buildings. Are there any
websites that deals with this or does anyone have some images for free

Signals and Norton Fitzwarren (2nd Attempt)06 Feb 2005 22:26 GMT14
This might be a duplicate because the BT Internet news servers are not
quite up to the task apparently!
I'm just putting together a signal box design in SSI

Bachmann Spectrum Class C Shay06 Feb 2005 20:06 GMT1
This model has been available in Australia for a while now - anyone
reworked it to represent one of the Wolgan Valley 70-ton locos?
Model railway journal06 Feb 2005 19:35 GMT8
Hello, I have uncovered about 20 copies of this magazine from Number 0
upwards from the eighties, whilst emptying my late father's house. I was
wondering if MRJ is still published?
Traction and Rolling Stock - Norton Fitzwarren06 Feb 2005 18:29 GMT1
Does anyone know what services (i.e. what locos or coaches) would have run
from Norton Fitzwarren up the Minehead and Barnstaple branches around the
mid 1960s including any regular-ish freight services. I have found that
there was a King class Paddington to Penzance service ...
brio train layouts06 Feb 2005 15:09 GMT14
We got quite a lot of track for brio (some bought, some given) and are
trying to get some decent layouts. However, it all seems a little random. We
start with a good idea and then have to botch it to get the track to
complete. Is there any help online? Perhaps a newsgroup of people ...
Web Cams06 Feb 2005 06:02 GMT7
I noticed on a recent posting a link to a Japanese railway station web cam.
This set me wondering if there are any web cams on our own stations that can
be viewed.

LionelTrainMart.com - DOMAIN NAME FOR SALE06 Feb 2005 02:35 GMT8
I am selling the domain name: "LionelTrainMart.com".  If you sell
Lionel trains the benefits of owning this name are obvious.
The price is 1200.00 Euros (or about $1556.00 US dollars).  The
transfer charge I think is about $6.95 (US dollars) or maybe less.
