Working With Unitrack16 Feb 2005 18:18 GMT7
I just started to build an N-Scale layout with Unitrack.  I love the
Unitrack, it works great.  I'd like some ides for securing it to my
foam board without glue.  It doesn't seem like glue would work well,
since it is basically hollow under the unitrack.  Is there another way

HO Coupler Size Question16 Feb 2005 08:46 GMT45
Kadee couplers were a quantum leap in terms of realism from the horn-hook
couplers, but their size is not true to prototype by being way too large.
Why has the hobby not evolved to use a more realistic HO coupler in terms of
size?

surpirsed to know that many railroads thought that Amtrak was to be a

I took the plunge and bought the Lenz Compact system and have so far fitted
two Lenz decoders, an LE1024 to a Heljan 47 and an LE1035 to a Bachmann
Warship and I am impressed by their performance.
I now have the long slog (and not inconsiderable expense!) of buying and

From a practical point how did they empty these pits, did some guy have to

the most annoying aspect of our current market15 Feb 2005 02:33 GMT7
To me, the most annoying aspect of our current market in Australia is the
way certain manufacturers who produce high-quality but also highly-marketted
(highly-strung?) models refuse to sell them through regular retail channels.
It's happened with Austrains, and in a way I can ...
3 link vs Kadee15 Feb 2005 02:32 GMT26
Slowly but surely I am converting everything to Kadee coupling, the locos
are all done as is some rolling stock. However, after converting some Bachman
MK 1's it struck me as they are going to be a fixed rake, all I needed to do
was put Kadees at each end (for auto uncoupling) and ...
