Prototype for everything department27 Mar 2005 00:26 GMT21
I seem to remember a while ago someone asking about milk tankers running as
part of a mixed or perhaps a pick-up freight. At the time, the consensus was
that this didn't happen. However, I bought a copy of 'Lost Lines-Wales' by
Nigel Welbourn at the weekend- on page 58 is a photo ...

Kwik Grip solvent26 Mar 2005 21:09 GMT3
Does anybody know of a solvent that will clean up Kwik Grip? Despite
careful use of tewwzers, I have left a few rubbery fingerprints on some
scale corrugated iron. I can't rub it off because that would destroy the
detail.
Model Shop Overcharged and then Refused a Credit25 Mar 2005 23:01 GMT30
A prominent model shop in the Oxford area overcharged me on an online
order- they neglected to deduct VAT.  This particular model shop  has
been around for a long time and has a secure on-line ordering system.
It should have been pretty obvious they were shipping the merchandise
Background Buildings25 Mar 2005 22:47 GMT17
My wife and I just moved out of our apartment and into a new home a couple
of weeks ago. At first I thought this was a good thing and that I could do
away with my 4x6 layout and build something bigger and better.
Unfortunately this isn't the case. Our new home seems to have doors ...
availability25 Mar 2005 14:13 GMT2
Hi I want to model (oo or n) the Liss,Hants terminal of the Longmoor
Military Railway. Can I get ready to run models of 'Gordon' & the SR
trains on the Waterloo-Portsmouth line of the '50s & '60s? I am in
western Canada but have some family still in England.

SR prototypical snippet24 Mar 2005 16:11 GMT1
From the Railway Observer, October 1947 comes the following interesting
piece of prototype train information.
With the bringing into use of a new 65ft. turntable at Padstow, "West
Country" 4-6-2's now have daily workings over the North Cornwall line. One
Rubber Gauge Blues24 Mar 2005 11:34 GMT1
The other day Matt posted that he had some locomotives for sale that he
no longer had use for. This got me to thinking that I should clear out some
of my trains too.
So I dug out the narrow gauge stuff to see what it might all add up to.
FS: TR-6 cow and calf on eBay23 Mar 2005 19:59 GMT9
I've also got a Cow/Calf TR-6 painted in SP colors on eBay right now.  I'm
kind of supprised that nobody has bid in it yet.
The loco is a real heavyweight puller capable of moving over 200 cars
without any problems.  It is equipped with a Hobbytown switcher drive and is
Taco Bell, 7-11, McDonalds, PIzza Hut, etc.23 Mar 2005 19:43 GMT22
I just built a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant model. I like it a
lot. I was wondering if there are any other models of fast food joints
or famous stores like 7-11, WalMart, Toys R Us, etc. I'm talking about
businesses that are cultural icons that we all grew up with. I might be
Minimum radius in n-scale?23 Mar 2005 16:28 GMT13
What is the smallest radius I can get away with in n-scale for a 180 degree
turn on an off-stage track (no one sees it, so it doesn't matter how it
looks), relatively short trains (20 car max), relatively short rolling stock
(50' or less) and slow speeds (10mph)?
Finally Bench is work Started23 Mar 2005 16:11 GMT4
Well after waiting 30 yrs I have gotten my own room for trains. It is not big,
but will do. It is a 9X12 room. I started the bench work and hopefully will be
laying some track in April. I have posted some pics on what has been done so far
